RACE PLACE MOTORSPORTS RACING RULES AND FLAGS

To ensure the safety of others, we must have Rules. All Racers at RPM are expected to know ‑ understand ‑ respect ‑ and follow the Racing Rules.

The Rules (Yes, there has to be rules)

• Indoor Kart Racing is a NON‑CONTACT Sport

• Any contact with the barriers or with another kart will incur a Penalty

• Always drive safe, in control and within your own ability

• The Gas Pedal is operated with your Right Foot... The Brake Pedal is operated with your Left Foot... Never apply both pedals at the same time

• Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to race

• Unsafe or out of control driving will not be allowed and will cause the loss of driving privileges with NO REFUND... Please drive safe and in control

• Anyone disrespecting the rules, damaging equipment or using obscene language or gestures will lose driving privileges with NO REFUND...

The Penalties ‑ The Black Flag!

Rough or Out‑of‑Control driving is not allowed and will be penalized as follows:

• Minor Contact ‑ Rubbing the barriers or another kart:
  First Offense ‑ Furled Black Flag pointed = Warning
  Next Offense ‑ Waved Black Flag = Return to Pits ‑ Stop & Go Penalty
  
  
• Major Contact or Hard Impact ‑With the barriers or another kart:
  First Offense ‑ Waved Black Flag = Return to Pits ‑ Stop & Go Penalty
  Next Offense ‑ Waved Black Flag = Return to Pits ‑ Possible loss of driving privileges or a Stop & Go Penalty ‑ To be determined by Race Control depending on the severity of the incident ‑ NO REFUND will be given for loss of racing time due to rough driving
  
  
• Out‑of‑Control Driving ‑ Driving beyond your ability

  Next Offense ‑ Waved Black Flag = Return to Pits ‑ Stop & Go Penalty

Race Flags

•   Caution ‑ Slow Down ‑ No Passing
  
  
•   The Race is on ‑ Track is clear to Race
  
  
•   Penalty Flag ‑ Return to the Pits
  
  
•   Danger ‑ Come to a safe & immediate stop
  
  
•   Passing Flag ‑ Move to the outside
  
  
•   Last Lap of the Race ‑ One lap to go
  
  
•   You Win! ‑ Race is over ‑ Return to pits
